We had our weekly appointment today and as you might have noticed, we're not parents....yet. We are exactly where we were last week. Which is just fine and very normal. So - for those of you who are on pins and needles....sorry...and for all the rest of you...thanks for keeping interested. :-)
I know we said last week that we were pretty much finished with the baby prep....well...we thought we were. Last week's "50% chance for baby's arrival" announcement lit a fire under our behinds and we've been working every waking moment to finish the final touches around the house - washing the baby's clothes, sheets, and toys, organizing her room, setting up the bassinet, getting the bonus/guest room ready for my mom who arrives on Friday (Thank you Kevin and Ashley!) and finishing up all of our "New Parent" classes we've been taking for the past 3 months. It's been a whirlwind of activity but I'm finding time to nap and relax before out big event.
Tyler has been a gem helping around the house with dishes, laundry, and general tidying. He's been working from home more often to be closer, just in case things happen, and it's been nice to have him around. :-)
We are both very excited that our Doula, Nicole, is back from her trip to Europe. We were worried that we'd go into labor while she was away. She spent 2 weeks traveling around London, Paris, and Prague with her new fiance! He proposed in the line at LAX. If you'd like to learn more about her Doula practice here is the link to her facebook page Nicole. She is also my yoga instructor and we LOVE HER!!!
Also - Our favorite/main Dr, Dr. Pearson, is recovering from surgery and the longer baby waits to arrive the better chance we have of having him back on our team. Hopefully he'll be back by next week. We're keeping our fingers crossed. We've been working with his #2 for the past month and have gotten to know her a lot better but we'd prefer to have the Ol' Irishman back.
So - that's the update. I'll be posting every Wednesday after our weekly 4PM appointments so I'll see you next week!
